Discover the Natural Wonders: Interlaken, Switzerland

When I say that I left my heart in Switzerland, you can absolutely find it in Interlaken. Within a matter of 9 days, I had the chance to explore 5 countries and 6 cities in Europe. Across each of these beautiful moments, Interlaken was definitely the highlight. The beauty of the snow capped mountains with the crystal blue Aare, it was such a treasure. Here’s an itinerary for your next trip to Interlaken.

Getting to Interlaken

You can get to Interlaken by car, train or plane. Because I was visiting Grindelwald as well, I rented a car from Zürich and was able to make it to Interlaken in about 1.5 hours. The train ride from Zürich to Interlaken is said to be very scenic and highly recommended by locals.

1. Explore Hoheweg Street’s shops and restaurants

2. Take the funicular to Harder Kulm

3. Eat at Restaurant Harder Kulm and bask in the views of the Swiss mountains

4. Take a train to Grindelwald and take the Eiger Express to Jungfraujoch, Top of Europe

5. Go on a boat ride on Lake Brienz and Lake Thun
